Springboard Consulting, Inc. is first and foremost a Business Process Reengineering company.  Our primary service is the successful reengineering of companies whose Owners are not realizing their desired level of profitability.  After systematically analyzing the operational, organizational, and financial segments of the company, Springboard then identifies sources of Profit Leakage and implements effective solutions to eliminate those sources now, and in the future.

Most Springboard engagements begin with a Detailed Business Analysis© (DBA).   This in-depth analysis is utilized to determine the areas of your business that will directly benefit from our business consulting services.  Our trained Analysts typically spend anywhere from 5 to 7 business days at your location(s) performing the data collection required for the analysis.   They will look into areas such as your company's history, organizational structure, controls, policies, procedures, profits, assets, liabilities and more.  This data is compiled, dissected, and formatted into a highly informative report on your business.

All aspects of the DBA are then presented to you in a meeting where our findings are discussed in detail, reserving plenty of time for Q&A.  We share with you the various reports and charts developed to graphically demonstrate what was learned during the analysis period.   Areas that are discussed include your managers, employees, inventory management, accounting systems, service levels, quality assurance, sales, marketing and much more!

Our professional Project Directors, Financial Specialists and Reengineering Specialists bring with them years of experience across a wide variety of industries. Each of them is clearly focused on one ultimate goal -- Profitable Solutions. Delivered.

The work life of the typical Owner/President/CEO of a private company can be very lonely.  He/she often does not have peers with whom to share concerns, bounce ideas off of or simply commiserate.  Through this program, we provide ongoing support to one of the company's most critical assets -- the Owner!  A seasoned Springboard Advisor is assigned to the company who in turn becomes very familiar with the most critical concerns of the business.

The bulk of this information is collected by the Advisor through informal questions directed at the Owner during weekly prescheduled Advisory Meetings.  The responses to the answers contain expert business advice that yields far better decisions going forward. This unique program delivers a level of ongoing expertise for the small to medium-sized business Owner that is typically only available from the boards and senior management teams of very large companies.  It also delivers a sense of comfort to the Owner that is far too often lacking in smaller size companies.

The program is typically contracted for at least a 12-month period and automatically renews if both parties are pleased with the results.  During that year, the Advisor is scheduled to meet with the Owner for a few hours of every week to discuss key concerns, review financial and operational reports, interview prospective management candidates or simply chat about whatever items are pressing on the mind of the Owner.  And the results have been quite impressive for the both the Owners and the client companies!

Springboard Consulting, Inc. uses its expertise to develop operational management systems and procedures designed to address and prevent future sources of Profit Leakage. Every operational area is carefully examined, looking at key strategic resources including manpower, equipment, sales and marketing, fleet, facilities, and management reports. The development and implementation of clear Standard Operating Procedures for all revised operational activities leads to far better control of variable costs and improved profits.

We specifically focus on the identification and effective use of financial and operating controls that include standard operating procedures and statistical process controls coupled with variable cost controls that are driven into the organization's departments, the operational processes of Input, Throughput, and Output of the company's products and services, and related departmental activity reports of all operational and financial accountability against variable cost for each activity, job and function within the company.

The operating controls, are also developed to enable every aspect of the business to be measured and judged against organizational, departmental, and operational performance objectives for revenue vs. all variable costs.  These objectives, or operating standards, become the benchmarks of efficiency, productivity and utilization, driving the business into the Pre-Determined Profit© process on each dollar of sales by benchmarking standards of performance vs. all variable costs.

The financial controls used in the traditional Residual Profit process are inadequate for a Pre-Determined Profit© System. New controls are created to measure the financial impact of organizational, departmental, and operational performance as it relates to the company's deliverables, stabilizing variable costs with a controlled position at reduced cost levels vs. the former historical averages of all departmental variable costs.

Financial and operating controls are designed to work in tandem.  Together, they allow management to measure and control the effective deployment of strategic resources to produce efficient productivity and utilization at higher levels than management has attained in the past performance of the company relevant to variable costs.

Computers, technology, and software do not run your business.  They are only tools to help the most important resource your company has - its people.  Does your company currently have systems in place to properly recruit, interview, select, orient, and train the caliber of people you want hired?  Is this critical task accomplished without violating any Federal laws and placing your company at legal risk?  Are important employee documents properly completed and on file?  Springboard Consulting will design and implement policies, procedures, and training that guide your managers through the hiring process.  Hiring decisions will no longer be based primarily on a "gut feeling."

Springboard offers an array of proven training solutions to measurably improve employee performance and sustain organizational development.  Our Springboard to Management Excellence© program sharpens the skills of your managers with seven well-defined, high-impact training modules.  We also design customized, job-specific training programs for your employees that will dramatically improve productivity, morale, and employee retention.

Change comes in many forms: new executive leadership, unexpected competition, a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or many others.  Unfortunately, not all employees deal with change in a positive way.  Springboard can help you manage impending change in your organization by guiding your leaders through the development of an effective plan and the execution of superbly designed strategic change initiatives.

Where is your company going over the next one to three years, and how will it get there?  Your Strategic Plan clarifies the organization's goals and ensures that you and your key leaders are all rowing in the same direction.  We start by focusing on your organization's mission/vision statement, and defining that statement through the creation of well written foundation standards. We then develop strategies to work toward those goals, implement the strategies, and action planning (who will do what and by when). Combined with a comprehensive, internal SWOT analysis, your managers learn how to create a clearly defined strategic plan for the future.

Your new business ...  poised on the launch pad, ready for blast off!  Without the proper launching platform, no rocket or business can get off the ground.  During your first few years in business, you will be hiring managers and employees that will help you chart the course for your future success. They will come on-board with the expectation that you will have a strong platform in place upon which they can launch their careers.

Whether it's employee compensation, insufficient cash flow, poor pricing margins, or one of a hundred other reasons, now is not the time to go it alone.  Springboard's startup expertise will help you eliminate wasted time and money, and build a solid platform on which to launch your company toward profitability.
